you replace the shifter handle...not too tuff...the shroud around the column is the biggest bitch

 

Great. But that begs the question, is there a service manual you would recommend that would cover this. I’ve goggled the subject and wasn’t too impressed with the results. Of course that may be because with our Land Rover someone provided me with the rave service cd, so these manuals you get from AutoZone seem somewhat lacking.

Ihave always liked the chiltons manuals, if you can find them.

 

The local shops stopped carrying them around here. They've all gone to Haynes, an inferior product in my opinion. I have a Chiltons for my 'Yota and it covers every square inch and option in full detail with pictures.

 

2500_DW and everyone I guess- I have a place that still carries them. I can get them and ship them to you for just cost if you are interested. Just let me know.

They stopped carrying them here too. I hate Hayes (or whatever its called), I had a Chilton for my 91 which I always used, and I have a Hayes for my 99' and never use it. I just ask you guys about repairs or look it up on the web.

 

Hunt - I haven't checked as I haven't had many issues, but I will try to go by there tomorrow.

 

Chilton's website only goes to '01 for our trucks.
