tow/haul switch

Default tow/haul switch

Ihave a 2001 sierra 5.3 engine and was trying to get my tow/haul switch to come on but will not light up on panel was wondering what I should be checking,did look for a fuse but could not see where one was for this switch.

Push it and drive normal. If its engaged then the transmission stays in the gears longer. 1st will shift to 2nd at a minimum of 20 MPH. If it does then the bulb on the cluster is burned out. If not then I can almost guarantee the wire coming from the switch near the ignition cylinder(where you put your key in) is cut by the steering column when it is put in gear. It should be orange. Just reconnect. There are 2 wires inside the orange insulation. Doesn't matter which is which connected too.

put it in nuetral then push the button and it will probably come on
