Truck Cap

RE: Truck Cap
In this neck of the woods, the bed truck caps come aluminum and fiberglass.
I have had both. Aluminum is lighter. But does/can dent. Better gas mileage as is lighter. Not a lot though.
The present one I have is fiberglass and I have had it for 8 years on same Chevrolet truck. Factory painted cap color to match truck. No extra charge.
Optional windows. Some slide. Some open up. Rear handle/lock. You can get one in center or two - one on each side.
Caps for pickup beds are really only good for you while you own the truck. Mostly, at time of re-sale/trade in, new buyer probably does not want the cap. Not worth much on a dealer trade in either. Hard to sell used cap as color is usually matched to your truck unless you got the cheapo - Black.
I purchased mine directly at the factory. Buy an extra lock as they wear out in short time unless you key lock it regularly.
Good Luck. And as far as a tunnow. Got a dull knife?
