true duals vs cat back
hey, i have an 01 1500 4.8 and i going to put exhaust on her but im just a teen with a part time job so i cant afford to go all out with the 2 mufflers h or x pipe e.t.c. so im just going to get a muffler single inlet with dual outlets. heres the thing if u check out vids on youtube the ture duals sound throaty at high rpms where on the others had the cat back sound raspy at high rpms is it really that different? if u guys have cat back flowmaster does it sound good? im planning to buy a 50 series delta or 40 series delta i can't decide i like the loudness but not to loud if ur going down the road and it gets annoying. which one should i chose? if any of u guys have these types of mufflers or systems feel free to tell me the sound and wat u did

I have duals from the cat back with no mufflers at all. The cat is so big it drowns alot of it. 4.8's dont sound great anyway with dual exhaust. not real sure why, ive had two of them with duals and my 5.3 sounds alot better and deeper. anyways, I put some flowmasters on one of the 4.8's and ripped them out and just ran pipe because with the mufflers it was only a bit louder than stock. Make sure the shop puts good hangers on the pipe too, ive had like six break the welds on the 4.8's. Keep inmind that internet audio sucks. Your best bet is to find a truck that sounds good and ask them what they did.
