Default Trying to go old school

I have an 02 Z71 stepside with the 5.3and I am looking to make it a quick truck. Im 18 so a lot of the guys I see with these chevys just get a throttle body spacer a programmer and a cold air intake. Thats all good and fine but I just got done building a sb 350 and put it in my dads 1970 olds cutlass and I want to do more to it. I would like some ideas on a good cam, lifters, valve springs, pushrods and rocker arms combination. If yall know anyother addons that have worked well mention those too thanks

Take off the 35's.
Get a custom tune.
Vette/aftermarket servos.
intake/exhaust.

Then see how much more you want to do.

turbo, keep everything else stock with 5 or 10 pounds and you will have plenty of power!!! you might have to do some trans work, but nothing major, for now at least

Only ran it once since the turbo install...best was a 12.5. That was spinning drag radials off the line and tapping the brakes a couple times mid track because the back end started getting loose. It was also in 90° weather with 60% humidity. So with this cooler weather, I should be low 12's or high 11's if I can hook. That's on 8 psi. Going to 12 or 14 psi soon, which will add another 80 - 120 hp and get me mid 11's. Again - if I can hook lol.
