well found out that my carb is too big for my burban
i went to my uncles house today to have him put a helicoil in my plug hwole that was broke
he looked at my carb and said it was basicaly to big for my engine that and the manual choke lever was zip tied closed we removed that and it started up just fine
also on my way home the truck started to backfire then i lost all my lights all of them looks like il be doing some wire trouble shooting
also my battery is shot so new battery time

havent had alot of time to work on anything lately
i broke my toes at work the other day so i am not able to get around as i once did when i get up and around im going to re wire the starter wires to where there isnt a fuse
there shouldnt be one where there is one i checked on another vehical of the same year
any ideas of why all my lights are gone
im thinking possibly fuses
maybe a bad altenator
the battery is toast also so maybe if i fix the battery it i will have lights again

Yikes! That sucks about your toes. Personally, I wear steel toes at work :P
Start fixing one thing at a time. First, get a new battery. Then, fix your starter issue. Then, figure out why it was backfiring. Then figure out the lights.
Feel free to mix and match, but for sure start with the battery.

i will start with the battery also im going to check the altenator cuz if the altenator is bad it wouldnt charge the battery and to fix the starter issue i am going to run a single wire to the shunt on the driverside and elimanate the fuse all together i think that fuse shouldnt even be there at all i will post a picture of what im talking about sometime soon
