well i have officaily deemed my truck to be tempermental

well i have officaily deemed my truck to be tempermental
and stuborn
so i drove my truck about 40 miles today in drive not over drive the truck didnt spit or sputter or anything
thats the reason ive deemed it to be tempormental and stuborn
if i put it in overdrive she will bog down bad when acccelerating
and not want to shift so i am again gonna be saveing for that new surgery she is gonna have in about 3 or 4 months when her legs(transmission) gives out on her so ill be saveing every friday now till she finally goes
then ill get the new trans and itll run better it idles fine no problems withh that anymore
but today she decided on my way home from the docs she decided to not tell me how full she was ( fuel gauge) quit workin on me as i filled it up 3 days ago and i have driven around 60 miles and it still says full
so ill be checkin the guages and the float as i am gonna be replaceing the fuel pump and sending unit anyway as she is an old truck and it probably never has been done also im gonna check the stepper motor in the guage
so if anyone knows how to check the stepper motor in the fuel gauge would they care to expand my knowlage of how to do that but im almost positive its cause i filled it over the tanks alowed limit of fuel i filled it till it was in the filler neck yes im try and get as much gas as i can so maybe it moved the float so it got stuck so ill wait till im at around 120 miles on the trip meter and see if it goes down any
also i will be doing some welding on my frame as i need the pass side rear shock mount on the frame welded due to it rusted thru and the previous owner never botherd to get it fixed so i gues he took some lacing wire and jerry rigged it on there
also i have noticed that there are crakes forming in the front right under where the cab meets the fenders both sides of the frame are kinda starting to or did crack i will be welding some plates up there to make it complete again and then i will have some one with portable sand blasting capabilites sand blast the enitre frame as best they can with the body and components still on there and then i will be using rhino truck bed liner to under coat the entire frame and under side of the truck meaning bed and cab and fenders
i know it wont be cheap but it will save the frame
again this is way into the future here but it will be done this time im not letting a good truck die and go to the boneyard if so ill take it there myself and get more money out of it then i paid for it not meanin have a junk your car guy do it for me as i know i will get around 2,000 for it at a metal recycleing place
that will be the very last resort if i cant ever get it done ill drive it till the wheels fall off then junk it
but anyway
i will be working theese little issues out and try to save her
as my uncle can weld the frame for me alls i gotta do is get the same thickness of steal as my frame and he will do it free i hope
so yes i will keep this and i will be adding pictures and videos of the work i do

well i drove my truck today around 110 miles today most of which was highway and interstate driving in drive geaer not overdrive
and my truck ran great no problems with it sputtering out or dieying out
also i am goin to need a new radiator as the radiator has a leak on the side of it and it gets on the frame and covers it and the ground with a small puddle also the service engine light goes on fro about a minute then goes away
so i will be haveing the truck hooked up to obd1 to see what code its throwing and as for the radiator im gonna have to get one sometime in the next couple of months or tomorrow when i go to the junkyard to pull parts ill keep ya posted on what i end up doin
with that being said about how good it ran today it was also 91 degress
so i am thinking maybe the distributer is getting moisture underneath of it when its lower temps cause it runs great when its really hot out then like crap when its below 70
