Default What to do next?

I am curious, what do you guys think that I should do next. So far I have a stock height ex-cab short box z-71 w/ 5.7 and an auto. I have done all the free mods from this forum, plus have true duel exhaust split cats and magnaflow exhaust. K&N direct replacment filter.

I was thinking of getting a cam or magnacharger, I am also looking at some headers. I am on a budget (damn kids), so it may be a while before I can afford these things. But it's never to early to see where I want to take this truck.

Here is the plan with it, I plan on getting rid of it when I can afford a new, or next to new d-max. Until then I want to keep up with the times and keep going in a performance direction. I want realistic ideas. If you guys could help that would be great.

Do the headers before the cam as this will affect the cam you want. Then maybe an X-pipe for your exhaust.

How much will the x-pipe cost and what are the benies? And where would it go in the exhaust train?

I good pipe like mine is about $100, but you can get cheaper ones for $30 or so, but the cheap ones are just 2 - 45 degree pipes welded together but they tend to break. Also it goes between the cats and mufflers. It will let the exhaust breathe easier as the exhaust can bleed over to the other pipe if needed, as well as keeping the "suction"going as the motor pulses out the exhaust.

That makes sence, thanks. I think I will probably get the medium grade ones if I can find them. I am not the computor savvey type person.

Thanks smoke, I will look into getting it soon. Headers will be the purchase after that. Does any one here have a forced induction truck? and what are they using?

Yeh I would seriously consider that, however I am thinking of going with a magnacharger, and there is a shop here that has a dyno and will do a true custom tune on it when I have all the things put on that I want. Till then I will deal with the medioker gains that I get out of the part that I get. But thanks for the offer. Also I wanted to ask you (MrLM7)of any things besides the ultimate free mods that you know of that would be more spacific to my truck?
