Yeah that's a radio antenna converter. I just installed three of them in the last couple months.

It is an aftermarket accessory that converts your GM radio antenna wire to fit into an aftermarket radio. I can't take a picture, but if you look in the back of any aftermarket radio you'll see a hole that takes the side with the point.

right now i have a factory radio that wont power on for some reason.... would the factory radio not being plugged into the antenna be the reason it isnt turning on? Or i have some of those little colorful chips with the two metal pieces sticking out that are missing could this be another problem? all i realy need to know is why my factory radio isnt working

I'm thinking that whoever had your truck before you installed an aftermarket radio and before they sold it they took it out. Is your slave deck for cassette's still there? My factory radio is a dummy because I have an aftermarket in place of my slave deck. It's a thought, but I could very well be wrong...

Hmmm. Do you just have a hole in the dash where the Slave deck should be? If so, when you look in there do you see two or three wiring harnesses not hooked up to anything??
