Default What should I do next???

I am making some serious power for the money I have in this truck. My last pass down the track, before my latest mods,I was in the high 14's at 93 MPH. My 60 ft time was around 2.6 seconds and I have no traction during the launch. On a cool day, I can be going down the road at 55 mph, punch it, and break the tires loose. Not lose control or anything, but enough to hear it with the windows down and dumped exhaust. I already have the factory limited slip and 3.73's. Any suggestions?

Traction bars would be a great next step. They will help reduce spinning and give you a better launch. A better launch means a better time. Without wheel spin at the launch, you could possibly trap low 14's or maybe even high 13's. Let us know what you decide bro!

Yeah, I added the TBS and the160 degreethermostat, so I figure with good traction and a tune, I'd be closing in on the 13's. Might take electric fans, too.

You'll see a little bit of improvement with the electric fans. Sounds like you're headed the right way. I would love to see you break 13's, that would be awesome!

Yeah, I'd be happy with that. (Yeah, Right)... I'd probably start on the old lady's F 150... See if I can get it in the 17's...

I wasthinking about putting some stiffer2" lift springs in the front, the putting on some 2" drop spindles, just to keep the same height, butget the weight off the nose on the launch. Think it would help? Or am I just retarded?

I think it might help a little, but suspension plays more of a factor in higher horsepower applications. I think the traction bars will help you tremendously! I used to race when I was younger and my father and I changed out the suspension in my 92 Z-28. It made a little difference but not much. The biggerst difference is with tires also. I had M/T drag radials and it cut off about a three quarters a second off my quarter mile time.

I got it! I had regualr street tires when I drove daily, but I had the rear M/T drag radial mounted on a extra set of rims, so all I had to do is put them on before I went to the track. It was awesome and made a lot of difference.
