Hello, new here, just joined.
I have a 77 Silverado 2wd c10 that I have redone from the ground up, heres some of the gory details, swapped out the 350 with an bumped up Olds 455, along with a TH400 with shift kit, shaved the door handles off, roll pans front and back, B&M ratchet shifter, put linear actuators on the hood, and well a bunch of stuff, and according to my wife "too much stuff". Bought the truck new when i was a kid and rebought it from a kid 2 years ago and thats when the "too much stuff began". Now the problem i have is after plopping the 455 in and getting it tuned and purring, I have a red or brown colored wire running up the frame on the passenger side that appears to be coming from either the fuel tank cross over witch which runs up the frame to not quite to the engine compartment, and for the life of me i cant figure out where it goes, I have grounded it as well as put power to it but nothing seems to change, the tank switch still works, but the fuel guage is showing way past full and doesnt seem to move, probably a silly fix but it has me stumped, any ideas or thoughts would be great,

Cheers
Al

Rule of thumb if your fuel gauge stays "above" full is a loss of ground (B-). Usually at the sending unit.

Remove that retaining ring and the whole assembly comes out.
