does anybody know how to lower the rear end of a dodge ram 1500 4x4 without having to buy a lowering kit?

 

take out a leaf spring

 

ok gotcha thanks. can you tell me how to take the weight off the leaf springs to take a leaf out. thanks

 

Put a floor jack under the rear end lift it as high as you can set jack stands as close to the cab as possible on the frame make shure is a flat spot no curves. Set your stands, take your wheels off lower the jack should have all the wieght off the leafs. If not get the jack stands higher. Then its just taking out the leafs on chevys you can loose the fattest one and bring the truck level im sure its the same for you. You are going to ride a little bumpy but hell its worth it level looks alot better.
