removed the dash, now no trans
[]2000 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4, 360
I replaced the heater core which means I had to take out the dash.
After getting everthing the, the trans no longer works. The truck starts in park and neutral, everything seems to work, it does not move in either drive or reverse?? Yes, I did drive it into the garage. Any ideas???

RE: removed the dash, now no trans
The trans must need some kind of interface with the dash if you only messed with the dash and now no trans. Don't have a clue as to what electrical circuitry they would share, but I know from info on the KRC 545rfe shift kit, shift points are affected by a solenoid/switch plugged into the trans. Also, in these newer trucks, trans fluid level will make the vehicle stall. I don't think fluid level is your prob., but it shows how close trans/engine functions are related. Maybe a dash signal is not making it to the trans. If I gave any misinformation, I apologize - I'm still learning.

Well, its the little things that will get you I always say.
I had bumped the shift for transfer case from 2wheel to neutral. Hence no trans Duh!
I usually work on cars so I don't have to worry about this.
Thanks for the input.
