Default 4WD not working.

Hey everybody. I just joined the Forum here and hope somone could help with a problem I am haveing. My truck is a 97 Dodge Ram 3500 4WD, 5sd Man. I have never had a problem with the 4wd before now. It will not lock in the front hubs. I think it might be the vacuum shift motor, but can not find any parts available for it at Autozone or Advance auto. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate the help! Thanks.

Default RE: 4WD not working.

Hey guys.If anyone was working on my problem, I fixed it.When I needed it I was in the pasture, where I became stuck. I crawled underneath it to see if I could see anything wrong.Best I could tell everything looked OK. I got it out of the pasture this afternoon and pulled into the garage where I could have a light to see better. With light I could trace the vacuum lines to the trans. and up to the fire wall. I found a connector behind the rubber seal at the top of the firewall. There was two places where it was disconnected. Now it works. I had a fuel injecter pump put on a short while ago and maybe that is when the lines were knocked or pulled loose. Thanks if anyone trying to figure out what was wrong with it. Maybe this might help someone else out someday.
