Default Radio replacement

Sorry guys, I'm sure this has been asked before but I feel like a need someone to respond to the situation I have more directly, especially since I bring pictures.

Right now I have my dashboard removed (1999 Dodge Ram 1500, sorry couldn't decide between this forum or the Ram forum, I rolled the dice.) And my new radio is about ready to go in except I got there two sets of a six speakers wires (Figure 1) that wont fit into the back of my radio, so I assume to use the wire harness. I guess I'm stupid because I'm not sure how to align the wires correctly, since some colors don't match up (Like pink... my wire harness doesn't even have pink.) and some just wont fit. Also one more question, there was this odd cable (Figure 2) that I had a hard time prying off the old stock radio, not sure where it goes or what the hell it even does. Thanks for the help guys I appreciate it deeply. Also as you can tell this is the first time I tried changing the radio...
