Unhappy Problem w/starters doing Engine Swap 4.9 from 1991 to a 94

I need HELP. I put a 300 6 cyl in my 94 F150 from a 91 F150. My 94 came with a 4.9 too, btw. It went well until I got to the starter. The 94 has the new style with the solenoid on the starter. The 91 has the old style with the solenoid on the fender (the 94 has a relay on the fender). How do i wire this up with out freaking out the computer or frying something? I cant use the newer starter, as the shaft is offset.PLEASE HELP! I bought this truck new in '94. I LOVE my truck and miss it!

PS: i WAS a GM man till i bought my first Ford Truck in 1989, so i'm not well versed in Fords... I should know how to fix this, but my Fords Never Broke!

ok - so i mounted the old style selenoid next to the relay on the right fender, ran the hot to the selenoid, n the small starter wire to the small post on seleniod (wired it up like the orig. old style, just powered it from the relay). No problems.
