1995 F350 Dually
Hello, I'm new to this site. I just bought a 1995 Ford F350 Dually 7.5 Gas V8 with 135,000 miles. Can anyone tell me how the 7.5 Gas compairs to the 7.3 diesel models? I paid $3500.00 for the truck, it's in good condition (New Tires) and runs smooth. Transmission shifts smoothly however I can tell that there is no shift kit installed. The 7.5 V8 is multi-port fuel injected. 135k miles seems to be low miles considering the year of the truck. Basically I'm asking you all if you think I got a good deal on the truck and a little info on the 7.5 compaired to the 7.3 diesel. Also what is the scoop on the transmissions as far as their durability. I plan on using the truck to pull my 5th wheel trailer. Thank you......det45

Nice truck! I have no knowledge of the gas models though.
I have a 96' F350 7.3L Diesel- runs good- real work horse, engine tends to be noisy, but I have been led to understand thats normal. Diesel's are a lot more maintenance prone than gas engines- need to change filters very 1500-2000 miles, oil very 4-5,000, and you must manually change the oil in the upper reseviour to insure the injectors are getting fresh oil (add prolong as well). If you do not change this you may find yourself getting a complete injector jos 200,000 sooner than you should.

New owner 1995 Chevrolet Silverado F350 Diesel Dually...
Need to buy new tires. Truck came with 11 year old tires.
Will be hauling a fifth wheel up, over and around the US. Fifth Wheel is only 27 so it is lightweight.
Also, if someone could please point me in the appropiate way to post questions. I couldnt find the directions on the site.
I will be reading but probably only asking questions about my "rig". Can you tell I am female?
I do the research in my house and he and I make the decisions. He is too busy with work, thus the extended trip.
Thanks ahead of time
