Are teh lines being crimped anywhere? are they original lines? you may be losing pressure somewhere. I had a similar problem on my truck last week.

Replaced both front rotors and pads in August adn brakes were fine for awhile. Then front right caliper locked up so I replaced it. Lately the truck has been pulling to the right upon braking and ONLY the right side would lock up when I slammed on them (ABS fuse out). I replaced the front left caliper and it resolved the issue. I'm not sure why or how, but it may have been leaking or losing pressure or something.

This is just my situation, but calipers are cheap (here at least) so you may want to consider it

yeah my pedal didn't fade and stayed stiff with no leaks or signs of a leak, but that side just didn't lock up no matter how hard I tried.

That's a real good lookin' 77 there. Around here once a truck gets to be 5 or 6 years old you'll probably be battling rust rust and more rust
