RE: rough idle
Man I was having the same exact problem and it just kept getting worse the colder it got. When it warms up it is fine but when the temp guage is not half way it will run rough and not shift properly as well. Now it is completely dead it wont start and yea I thought soemthgin might be wrong but no light is coming on so I do not know what to do. I do know that my fuel pump is not coming on when I turn the key on but not try to start. It always coes on right before I turn to start it. But now I do not hear it on at all. I am obviously having a fuel issue but do not know where to start looking really. Is my pump going bad since I do not hear it on when I put the key in the ready position?? Any help would help......

RE: rough idle
i cant hear my pump it is quit hears what you do to check the pump
if the key turns on and your battery is good turn the key over to the start but not starting it then leave it on for a few seconds
then facing the front of your truck is a fuel rail there is a black cap take the cap off then stick a screw driver in there if you have a squirt of gas your fuel pump is fine
