Question What trans. and diff. my truck has?

Hi all. I have a 1989 f250 and was wondering how you are able to tell what rear dif. and what transmission it has in it using the V.I.N.? Thanks For Your Help

Transmission codes from 1995 Manual

M = manual 5 speed overdrive (Mazda?)
E = Automatic E40D
G = C6 auto
U = 4R70W (4spd auto with overdrive)
C = manual 5 speed close ratio (Z-F)
W = 5 speed H.D. Overdrive
