I have a '93 700R4 that we have placed into a Mini Rod Tractor Puller. We are using the 700 because of the low 1st gear. But when we are pulling and the motor is cranking 6300 revs the tranny will shift into 2nd gear regardless of the fact we have it in low. We were about to buy a manual valve body for it but then I heard that there is something called a "panic shift" built into it from the factory. Does anyone know about this and can tell me how to stop it?
