Default 99' 5.7 Suburban no start

While driving to work this morning my truck sputtered, backfired then died and would not restart. Got it towed home and began troubleshooting. Good fuel pressure at gauge on manifold and pressure holds at 55-60lbs. Pulled #1 plug and it was dry, reinstalled and cranked and plug is still dry. Pressure disappears if I crank with fuel pump relay pulled. I have fuel flow at the filter. But I can't even get it to fire with starting fluid. Spark is orange and not blue with #1 plug pulled and grounded. Truck has 90K, meticulously maintained and just did intake gaskets and installed new style fuel injector spider this past March. Where to go from here? I should have fuel on plugs if cranking and not firing correct?
Thx
