my ac was on when i parked my tahoe and when irestartedit 3 hours later it was not working .
1 .fuse's are good
2 relay was the same as fuel pump so i switched the 2---- no change
3 took the control cluster out and it looked to have a greasy resido coming outof the bottom of the fan speed and temp ***** openings
4 it did not smell burnt ?
the compressor does not run but you can turn it with your hand
----------------------------------------------------------------
so my ? is can you pull the the wiring harness off the top of the compressor up front by the pull and test there to see if its the controlls or compressor
it showed no volts with it on or off

I assume the fan runs, just no compressor?...probably the cycling switch on the drier...try tapping on it and see if she engages

if it has not suddenly lost all its freon, then its probably that switch...as stated...idle it,a/c on...then tap it...see if she comes on...
if not,try unplugging the switch and jumping it with a paper clip...see if she comes on AND cools....if it comes on but does not cool, its pobably out of freon
