If you live somewhere other than CA then I say GO FOR IT! Definatly keep the mufflers though those 44's sound sweet.. Maybe think about an x pipe too..

Get rid of the cats. All they do is restrict your motor. The better it breathes, the better it'll run. Better MPG and more horsepower go hand in hand, so removing the cats will not only add horsepower and MPGs, but it will also sound wicked!

You'll probably have to drill a couple of holes in the pipes for your O2 sensors, since the cats are where they are located. If not, your check engine light will come on almost immediately.

So, did you do it? How were the results?

were you aiming for true dual set-up??

Did your truck lose bottom end?

I'm not going for a true dual, but I am thinking of removing cats... Just wondering if this throws off the O2 sensor?

I've got the 'true' dual setup, but I wasn't ambitious enough to cut out the cats and drill holes. I know guys that are doing that with their trucks, and it makes a HUGE difference. Sounds pretty cool too.
