Rebuild BB 396
the miles have added up on the truck were nearing the 200,000 on the odometer. I have restored the truck and had the trans rebuilt. Awesome truck. The only thing i have not done to truck is rebuild the motor because at the time it wasn't smokey had more than plenty of power. Just gave a cleanup job and painted the block a nice orange and was ready to go.
Now we have a little smoke at warm up and one of the heads is giving way to a little leak of oil at the head not the valve cover.
Any suggestions....? Never rebuilt a 396 before and have had a few 350's and 250's to rebuilt but this motor I've heard is quite a pickey thing.
Rebuilt 396 are ouch to the wallet... so debating a tear down.
