Default What truck fits me?

Alright here's the deal, I've always been a dodge pick-up man, but now i'm caught in a dilemma. I'm a sophomore in college, and i need a new set of wheels. I want a nice little 4x4 to cruise around in. Of course i figured on getting a little Dodge Dakota 4x4 right away, but the more i look i'm not sure. Any tips or advice anyone can give on an S10 or Ranger would be excellent. I need it to do minor haul work, nothing huge so a v-6 or even i-4 is fine. I also need to travel some between college, work, and home, yet another reason to go with a smaller engine. Please help me out fellas i can't bring myself to go buy a car. And everyone knows trucks are where the real fun is

Default idk

the late model S-10's are good strong little trucks my grandpa has owned two zx-4 s-10s with the 4.3 and they are ballsy little engines with a ton of torque for a v-6 but personally i've been driving dodge since i was 12 and will stick with dodge for the forseeable future, the 3.7 dakota has no get-up-and-go what'soever, i knw cuz i test drove a manual trannied one then test drove my current 4.7 dakota and the difference was extremely noticeable, ford rangers with a v-6 are fairly good trucks but under the hood it looks like they had to lube the damn thing with 50 gallons of ky to get it in the engine bay. my buddy had one with 4wd and she would ****-and-get out in the mud with 33's on her, but my truck did the same in 2wd. all three are good trucks when matched with a v-6 or bigger, with a i4 ranger or s-10 there is no power at all. but good luck

What ever you do, dont get a ranger! I had a 1998 Ranger 2wd and it was horrible! Get a s-10 they have a lot of power to be such a small motor. I test drove an 01 and that thing had some get up and go! It will pull small trailers good. Prolly wouldnt pull nothing too big though. Good luck and let us know how it turns out!
