How ya doin?
Hello,
I decided I needed an area that I could poll for information about my truck, I'm a computer tech that dables as a gear head so I find internet forums as a great way to combine my two loves.
Let me give you a run down of what I'm working on currently.
Just purchased a 1979 Dodge Powerwagon (I think the actuall model name is W-150). Kid I bought it from said the engine and transmission where good, but that was a total freaking lie!
$850 and a previous owner allready did the body work for me (Thank god).
Was told it had a 360 in it but found out it's a 318, 7-17 transmission. Automatic.
Sadly while driving it home I stopped at a stop light and it wouldn't engage into drive, a short tow to my mecanic and I was up and running again, all be it with a rather pitiful list of issues.
Main ones being the Transmission (which I hope to have a replacement in this weekend) and the fact that someone put afour-barrel carb for a 360 on the 318 motor (also hoping to have replaced by this weekend, pay day can't come quick enough)
This is my only vehicle and my project truck all in one!
Hope that gives you an idea of what I'm doing and Please feel free to through me any suggestions you may have, I'm always looking to learn something new!
