New Member Help Removing Spare Tire
Hi everyone. I love my new/used Silverado. Mine is a 2002 SB and my dad has a 2000 LB. They both haveone problem I need to resolve in that I can't get the spare tire todrop down from underneath the bed. Pretty simple instructions in that you assemble the two jack handle extensions and inserthoist end into the rear bumper being sure the hoist extension connects into theshaft and turn counterclockwise. When doing this on BOTH trucks, I can feel the extensionslipping out of the shaft and I can't keep it engaged long enough tomake the tire drop. It's like they are stripped or something. What can I do? Thanks, Charlie

Argon,
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my post. And yes, you are correct, I was usingthe incorrect end. I put the female end in and it works just find. Thanks again, Charlie

RE: New Member Help Removing Spare Tire
I was looking at my dad's 2000 owners manual and yes, the picture was incorrect which caused me to use the wrong end.Once you corrected me, it worked just fine on my truck and I'll let my dad know when I talk to him later tonight. We both appreciate it.Charlie
