Im 17, and due to my father passing away 3 years ago I inherited a 99 Chevy Silverado with extended cab, 4wd, and a 5.3 liter engine. It used to have pewter rocker panels, but with 8 hours of free time, an auto body sander, and the aid of my best friend and his talent in tinkering of trucks we herculined the panels, and herculined the area the fender flairs used to take up. Alot of people think that would look retarded, but it turned out NICE (Black on red). I just wish I could have afforded better bed liner. After that a K&N metal intake system, a dynamax super turbo dual exaust kit, and AC delco iridium performance spark plugs were put in. Im just beginning to enter the world of decking out my ride, so Im here for help and tips. I place more value on performance than anything, but looks are ALWAYS welcome.
