Default well i dotn like dealerships officaly know

i went to a local car and truck dealership to try to trade in my 05 crownvic p71 today for a 99 suburban 1500 older body style not newer
it is lifted 3 inches and is loaded with power everything and leatehr seats 3 row seating
the sticker price is 3995
but the sale price on the tag in the window is for 2995 i looked up the kelly blue book value for trade in on my car before i went to this dealer
3175.00
so anyway i went there after work to trade straight across for the suburban
as soon as i pulled in the guy was outside i asked him a couple normal questions to try to get the ball rolling
i said i want to trade my vehical for that suburban
he said no not interested without a blink of an eye and as soon as i said trade
i dont know if he is stupid or just plain tryign to get me to take less then the half of the value for my car but i walked away and aint goin back to that guy again
he didnt even bother to look at my car but one quick glance
so i guess im goin to keep the car for know or try to post it on craigslist for the bluebook value private party fair condition

Like NJ85Z28 said. He will probably sell the 99 Suburban fast then he will sell your 05 Crown off that lot.
I'm not defending this dealership by any means but he is looking after himself.
It's probably a good thing anyways. You'll do better selling it yourself, then paying cash for a truck.

your probably right
the suburban has been there for about 2 and a half months thow and the price has been droped 2 times so maybe in another month if its not sold by then it wil be lower again

Point is - treat customers with respect don't just blow them off without explanation. Word of mouth goes a very long way!
