Thanks, it was the style back then (1990). Damn 20 years have gone by fast! Good luck with your Sierra and let us know if you have any questions. We have a lot of GM support here.

Default my first truck

My first car was a studebaker 1956. My friend was going to get rid of the car because it was so bad and wouldn't run. I asked him for the key and I started the car and my friend could not believe it. I drove the car about 8 months, one of the door was tided with a rope, no glass in the windows and suddenly the car started smoking. This is a funny story. I gave the car a name "The President." I remembered one time the police was following me and the car was smoking too much like a volcano, the police could not see me and gave up. The next time I was stopped for the same reason and the police got an emergency call and he let me go. Finally the car get so bad that it was running 10 miles per hour, living in Los Angeles you can imagine all those car behind me plus the muffler was hanging down and all that noise waking everybody. I feel proud, I wish I had that car today. Do you know how much money would cost? Ga

I can't remember too many specifics anymore but it had a metal dashboard and the throw on the stick shift was about 1.5' and you had better double clutch just to be sure because the odds were around 50/50 otherwise. The radio had a nice crackle to it also, LOL.

First truck was a 1974 (got it in 1984 for my first car) Dodge D100 Adventurer extended cab long bed. It had a 440, Holly 650 Carb, some other engine mods (to long ago to remember), and would pass most anything on the road, except for a gas station.

I dont have any pics but my first truck was a 98 black Dodge Ram. I bought it used and the owner before me had taken the white "Dodge" letters off the back and replaced them with "Dogg". So I always drove around in what would be called the Doggmobile... OHHH YYEEAAHH
