Smart move or dumb move???
I need alittle input here, please keep an open mind..LOL...Ok i own a 2007 chevy 2500 HD,4WD, 6.0 gasser 13.9MPG ooooch!! i don't use the truck for whats it made for so with gas on the upswing i am thinking about trading it in for 2011 toyota tacoma, double cab, 4WD, long bed, 4.0 and i'm guessing on the AVG. i would get 18MPG...so as the title says would this be dumb or smart???
My thinking here...10,000 Mi divided by 13.9 = 719.42 x $3.80 = $2733.80w/chevy.....
10,000 Mi divided by 18 = 555.55 x $3.80 = $2111.10 w/tacoma so the savings would be $622.70, now that is figured on 1 year of driving...Any imput??

now keep in mind that chevy wants my right arm and part of my left plus the truck to put me in a 1500 and also my work truck is a 2010 ford f-150 and it gets worse gas mileage then the 2500 but it is not broke in yet, soooooo??

I thought the same thing a few years ago and bought a Tacoma 4X4 V-6 and it got the same damn mileage as my 4X4 Tahoe, but wasn't near as strong or comfortable. I won't make that mistake again!!!!!!
