2000 GMC sierra passanger door lock/window problem
Hi
I have a 2000 GMC sierrra. The problem i have is that on the passanger side door the power lock and window does not work from the passenger side.
From the drivers side i can lock and unlock the passanger side but the window use to go up and down slowly but now it doesnt even move. Does anyone know what i can do to fix this and about how much should this cost? i have changed the passanger side control and it still doesnt work. Plus does anyone know if this has to work to pass a safty? this is my last thing to pass and i cant figure out what it may be.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers

Check the wiring at the hinge area on the passenger door. From openning and closing over the years you may have broke a wire or two in the protective rubber boot.
Depending on the mechanic whether it passes or not.
You can phone the garage and ask. BUT as a safety feature. if your passenger can't get out in an emergency? That wouldn't be good
