Default For those who have 22's, 22's vs 20's as far as ride quality

How is the quality of the ride of 22's vs 20's. I'm gona get a GMC Sierra 1500 SLT or SLE and I think the 22's have grown on me. I just want to make sure I will love the ride quality. Most dealerships won't have a truck there with 22's so will be hard to test one out.

thoughts?

Default Love It!!

I've had 22" all the way to 24" on my truck and I love them! I have Evil Twin Turbos on my Dually right now, 24's. By far my favorite so far!

It's going to come down to trial and error. You can still find a 20 that will ride nice and with another manufacturer that 20 will ride like a lumber truck

Same goes for your 22's You seem to have found a good 22 from a particular manufacturer. But try a different manuf. and that 22 may suck.

It hard to tell if the ride will be the same with the same tires on a different truck. Suspension firmness in the new truck may play a factor.

Take the truck for a test drive.. and have a small pit crew ready at home. Switch out the tires and rims and then go for a drive

I have 22's on my Yukon, and 17's on my Sierra, and I MUCH PREFER the ride on the 17'sthan the 22's. The lack of tire sidewall on the 22's makes you feel ever irregularity in the road surface.

The Yulon is lowered and has dropped spindles. to boot, that might account for some of the ride difference, but it really changed when the 22's were added.
